Why We Put This in Writing

One of the most common reasons home service business owners leave a marketing agency has nothing to do with results. It comes down to communication. Unclear reporting. Vague answers about what you actually own. Not knowing where your money went or what happens to your website if you decide to make a change.

We have heard this directly from clients who came to On Purpose Media after working with other agencies. The lack of clarity created doubt, and doubt eroded trust.

This page is our commitment to doing it differently. Clear communication is not just part of how we run campaigns. It is part of how we run the entire relationship, from your first call with us through every stage that follows.

Assets You Own (Always Yours)

Your Website

Your website is yours. Once it is paid in full, you own all of it. The code, the design, every page of content, and the images. You are free to take it to another hosting provider, hire a different agency, or manage it yourself.

If your domain was registered through On Purpose Media, we will transfer it to you during offboarding.

Requirements:

  • The website must be paid in full before files are released.
  • Your account must be in good standing with no outstanding balances

All Content We Created

Every piece of content we produce for your business belongs to you. Blog posts, service pages, location pages, ad copy, email and SMS copy, social media posts, and graphics. All of it.

You can repurpose it, hand it to another agency, publish it on a new website, or use it however you see fit. No attribution required.

What we retain: Our internal SOPs, proprietary frameworks, and process templates. Those are ours. Your content is always yours.

Google Business Profile

You are always the owner of your Google Business Profile. On Purpose Media is added as a manager, with rare instances of needing owner-level access. Your GBP phone number gets reverted to your forwarded number before we exit.

All photos we uploaded, all posts we published, and every review your business received stay exactly where they are. Reviews live on Google, not with us. They do not disappear.

Google Ads Account

If On Purpose Media manages Google Ads on your behalf, the ad account belongs to you. We are added as managers only. All campaign history, performance data, and quality scores remain in your account.

Important

Your ad spend is billed directly to your credit card by Google. Stopping service with On Purpose Media does not stop your ads. If you end your engagement with us, your campaigns will continue running, and Google will continue charging your card until you pause them yourself or tell us to pause them prior to our last day.

Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager

You are the owner of these accounts. If we had to create them, we will assign ownership of these assets to you. All historical data, reports, and configurations remain yours.

Social Media Accounts

We never own your social media accounts. We are added as admins during the engagement, and all followers, posts, and history remain with you.

Customer Database and Contacts

Your customer data is your customer data. We provide a full export of your contacts, including any forms that were transferred from OP360 to your website structure. Everything is formatted for easy import into whatever system you choose next.

Reviews and Rankings

All reviews on Google, Facebook, and other platforms live on those platforms. They are tied to your business, not to On Purpose Media. Your ratings, review count, and review history remain fully intact after service ends.

The SEO work we completed, including on-page optimizations, content, and authority building, stays on your website. However, rankings are not a permanent asset. Without continued optimization and fresh content, they will gradually decline as competitors continue investing in theirs. The work we did provides a strong foundation, but maintaining that position requires ongoing effort. Just like going to the gym.

What We Provide at Offboarding

When your service with On Purpose Media ends, we complete the following within 30 days:

  • Complete website backup files. If you are not continuing with OPM hosting, you receive a full downloadable copy of your site files to take wherever you would like.
  • Full admin access to the back end of your website.
  • GBP access transfer and phone number reversion.
  • Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager access confirmed and transferred.
  • Customer database and contacts export delivered in a clean, importable format.
  • Removal from all reporting and tracking platforms, including BrightLocal, Semrush, Birdeye, and others.
  • Final performance report summarizing where things stand at the time of offboarding.
  • 30-day continued hosting grace period to give you time to migrate your website to a new provider.

What Happens After 30 Days

If your website has not been migrated within the 30-day grace period, we archive the site. The archived version is available for recovery for an additional 90 days, and after that,  a recovery fee applies.

What Stops When Service Ends

Here is what changes when your engagement with On Purpose Media concludes, and why it matters.

Hosting, Maintenance, and Security Updates

Your website remains live during the 30-day grace period. After that, it goes offline unless migrated to a new provider. Without ongoing maintenance, your site also becomes vulnerable to security issues over time. You will want to have a new hosting provider lined up before that window closes.

Google Business Profile optimization

Posts, photo uploads, and review responses stop. Your profile remains live, but without regular activity, it becomes stagnant. Competitors who continue posting and engaging will gradually gain an edge in local visibility. If you plan to manage your own GBP, make sure someone on your team is posting updates and responding to reviews consistently.

Content creation and SEO

No new blog posts, service pages, location pages, or ongoing optimization. Fresh content is one of the primary signals that search engines use to evaluate relevance. Without it, your site’s ability to compete for new search traffic diminishes over time. If maintaining your search presence matters to you, plan for a content resource, whether that is an in-house team member, a freelancer, or another agency.

Marketing automation

All SMS and email sequences, review request campaigns, and automated workflows through OP360 stop. Leads that were being followed up automatically now require manual effort from your team. Without that follow-up, conversion rates typically drop. Make sure your team has a process in place for responding to new leads quickly once automation is no longer handling it.

Scheduled social media posts and OP360 Platform Access

Beyond the end date of your service for social media and all automation workflows built inside OP360

Reporting, strategy calls, and support

No more monthly reviews, performance reports, or access to our team. The visibility you had into what is working and what needs attention goes away.

Call tracking and analytics

Recording, source tracking, and lead scoring stop at the end of service. Without tracking, it becomes difficult to know which marketing channels are generating calls and which are not. If you want to maintain that visibility, you will need your own call tracking platform set up before service ends.

What On Purpose Media Retains

We keep our proprietary SOPs, internal frameworks, and processes. These are the systems we have built to deliver results, and they remain the intellectual property of On Purpose Media.

We also retain the OP360/GHL platform infrastructure and workflow templates, along with any tools or software that On Purpose Media licenses on your behalf. Your content, your data, your accounts, and your assets are always yours. Our methods and systems are ours.

Returning to On Purpose Media

If you leave and later decide you want to work with us again, the door is open. We welcome returning clients, and there is no penalty for having left.

When you reach out, we will assess where your marketing stands, what shape your assets are in, and what needs to happen to get things moving again. Depending on how long it has been, some things will likely need to be rebuilt. Automation workflows in OP360 will need to be set up again from scratch. If we need to substantially rebuild anything, the set-up fee may apply in this instance.

Rankings may need recovery work if your site has been inactive. Content cadence will need to be re-established. Other things, like your website, your content library, and your account ownership, will still be exactly where you left them. We will walk you through all of it before any commitment is made.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get my website files before my service ends?

Yes. As long as your website is paid in full and your account is in good standing, you can request your files at any time.

Will my Google rankings disappear immediately?

No. The work we did stays on your site. But rankings are not static. Without ongoing optimization and new content, they will gradually decline as competitors continue investing in theirs. How quickly depends on your market and competition.

What happens to my call tracking numbers?

Call tracking through CallTrackingMetrics stops at the end of service. If you want to keep your tracking numbers or continue recording calls, you will need to set up your own account and coordinate the transfer during the 30-day offboarding period. Our team will help with that transition.

What if I have an outstanding balance but need access to my GBP?

Your Google Business Profile is always yours. We do not hold GBP access hostage over billing. However, website files and other deliverables require your account to be in good standing before they are released.

Do I lose my Google Ads account?

No. Your Google Ads account belongs to you. We are added as managers only. When service ends, you retain full ownership, history, and control.

Can I keep using the content you created?

Yes. All content we created for your business is yours. Use it however you want, for as long as you want. No credit or attribution required.

Have a Question About Your Account?
